First week of February marks Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence awareness week. Its purpose is to support those affected, broaden understanding and awareness, and highlight resources and strategies that can help prevent sexual violence. The week emphasises the significance of protecting adults by promoting the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal and supporting staff to identify the hidden indicators of sexual abuse in both care settings and the wider community.
